It's a Pretty Good Way to Spend a Lifetime // B.B. King

Hey folks, let's get straight to it.

In the philosophy of ethics, instrumental and intrinsic value are the distinction between what is a means to an end and what is the end in itself. Things are deemed to have instrumental value if they help one achieve a particular end. Intrinsic values are desirable in and of themselves.

"Music expresses nothing but itself." – Stravinsky

There is intrinsic value in creation. To make music. To play and enjoy playing for its own sake. It's a pretty good way to spend a lifetime.

The king of the blues needs no introduction. You can recognize his playing immediately from his signature bee sting vibrato. I'm just gonna sit back on this one and listen to Lucile cry.

Catch you on the flip side,
